The congress has passed bills to stimulate the economy but many people find that obtaining a loan is much more difficult than it has been in the past.  The main problem most people have is the Credit Rating - it is not as high as needed.  Why?  It seems that every time a payment is late on a credit card, a mortgage, insurance, etc. the credit rating takes a huge hit!  So, word to the wise - don't be late on payments.  If you can't make the full payment contact the company to arrange for a different payment plan and then stay on track!  Don't lose out on a house because you are late on payments - use automatic payment plans when possible and/or put payment dates in your calendar/phone for reminders!

Attention future Home Buyers!  The congress has passed an extension to the Home Buyer credit that not only extends the time frame to May 1, 2010, but also allows current home owners a tax credit!  President Obama is expected to sign this into law soon so keep posted!
